Taipei - the Big City with Big Things

Depending on where you draw the boundary between urban and suburban, Taipei as between 2.6 and 7 million people. There is always some place to go, something to do. There was recently a display of Michelangelo at the National Museum of History. It was a touring exhibit from the Casa Buonarroti Museum in Italy. All of the sculptures and painting were facsimiles and reproductions. The only real items were pages from his notebooks. Anyway it was well attended display. We were there.
Florence was stuck by the number of male nudes and no females.

From our apartment we can see a lit up Ferris wheel, it is 4Km away. We went out to Dazhi where the Ferris Wheel is, and it was
huge. We didn't go up, we're waiting for some visitors, then we'll all go together.
We went out to Neihu to probably the largest Moon Bridge in Taiwan.

But the best part of Taipei is the "big eats". Anthony Bourdain has a show about the Taipei eats.

I should have used this picture in the blog entry on Christmas trees.
