Lantern Festival - HsinChu

The Taiwan National Government also puts on a Lantern Festival that rotates between the big cities around the island. This year the festival was held in HsinChu, our old home in the 1990's. HsinChu is an hour or 2 drive from Taipei. The National Government subsidized buses to take citizens from around the island to spend the day in HsinChu.

Totoro
Snakes with Angry Bird
And some more realistic looking snakes
Again some of the displays used recycled materials.

But at night it looked differently.
